Actually what you can do is purchase for yourself, on board credit (OBC) & it will be applied to your final bill...The Hotel Service charge will show up on your final bill on a daily basis..

In other words if you are booked on a 7 day cruise & your Hotel Service charge is $11 per person per day you can purchase the total amount or even more OBC, which will go toward your final bill..

For our up-coming 68 day cruise we have almost a thousand dollar OBC (on board credit) which will be applied to our final bill..

Just call HAL & give them your credit card for the OBC..Be sure you receive a confirmation by e-mail..

Thanks for the info. I like to get as much paid before the cruise as I can. Hate that big bill at the end of the cruise:eek::D!

You can also pay for OBC online in increments of $100, which is what I did. I loved having no sticker shock at the end.

You should check with HAL. They might of started allowing you to fully prepay Hotel Service Charge before the cruise without it showing up as OBC.

Thanks, I will ask them when I make final payment. If I can't prepay, I will probably purchase onboard credits.
