Buffets- Crystal vs Costa

Just got off Crystal Serenity- which supposedly has 5-star dining.

There was no midnight buffet- waiters brought trays of pizza and snacks to the lounges- just like Costa. Except there were no special evenings with flambes or anything.

Instead of an evening buffet, there was a limited, fixed menu restaurant using the patio furniture beside the pool. But it was only open 18:30-21:00, and not at all on several nights, notably formal nights. So I wouldn't call it much of an improvement over Costa.

OK, the food in the Main Dining Room was much better. But for a premium of $200/day over Costa, it better be.
