west bay beach vs mahogany bay??

like to snorkel and swim for the day. never been to mahogany bay docked elsewher last time i was there may years back. do you pay to get to mahogany bay ,is there chairs,snorkeling,bars there?? is it easy to get to:confused:

We have only been west, as the Mahogany bay area is man made for Carnival..We just prefer to see the real side, and farther away from the ship,IOP.

Mahogany Bay is not known for the snorkeling, though people have said if you go past the private cabanas there are things to see..my guess, there is no reef.

 

West Bay has easy access reef snorkeling steps from the sand at Tabyana.

 

This thread is chock a block full of info about snorkeling west bay.

 

This is the Mahogany Bay web site...it is a cruise center with all the bells and whistles..Of you are docking at Mahongnay there is no fee to get in... I don't there is even of you are docking in Coxen Hole due to that fact they believe you will shop and spend.
