Kamloops50 Posted January 6, 2013 #2 Share Posted January 6, 2013 When should I buy cruise/travel insurance? Before or after final payment? Thanks I always buy before final payment . Pre existing condition coverage is better.
Redbarnphotog Posted January 7, 2013 #3 Share Posted January 7, 2013 typically the insurance will only cover certain things if purchased within 14 days of your first investment (i.e. the cruise deposit)

Conradfam13 Posted January 8, 2013 Author #6 Share Posted January 8, 2013 I guess I may have really messed up. I didn't purchase it when I booked in September. My final payment is due in a few days. Are there any companies you would recommend? We are cruising with Carnival, but I have been told it is more expensive to buy it from Carnival. Any advice would be great! Thanks J. Rare YoungDubFan Posted January 8, 2013 #7 Share Posted January 8, 2013 Go to insuremytrip.com. You can compare policies. As has been mentioned, in order to get best coverage with pre-existing coverage, you need to buy within 14 days normally. You may be able to purchase cancel for any reason coverage but it is more expensive. You may also be able to get cancel for work coverage. You will really have to read the policydetails.
