I just put a cruise on hold

You can do every thing on line, and have control of the booking as far as making any changes. If you call RCCL to book the reservation, you will have to call RCCL if you want anything changed. If you use a TA, you can transfer it to them if you want to.

I don't think so. I have booked by calling RCL and then updated (reserved entertainment and excursions) on-line. If I were upgrading cabin class or taking advantage of a reduced price, I would have to call RCL anyway no matter if I booked on-line or by calling RCL.
