DarthGrady Posted January 8, 2013 #78 Share Posted January 8, 2013 (edited) Thanks for sharing the pictorials sonicbuffalo! It was fun seeing your shots from St. Kitts, I have some that are very similar in my review! My wife and I did the exact same tour with Mr. Grey last month on Vision of the Seas and had a blast! I only wish we would've had more time at Brimstone Hill, so I think we'll go there and spend a few hours next time. The history there is very interesting. sonicbuffalo Posted January 8, 2013 Author #83 Share Posted January 8, 2013 hope this is where I left off....more Alto DeChavon.....we actually had quite a bit of fun touring this area. beautiful weather all cruise long....love October in the Caribbean The stage in the amphitheater me sitting at the top of the amphitheaters seats
sonicbuffalo Posted January 8, 2013 Author #84 Share Posted January 8, 2013 more seats in the amphitheater to give you a sense of just how large this area was.... a little alley way on the way out to the busses.... the main problem with having La Romana as a port of call is that if you really want to explore the big city of Santo Domingo, it's several hours driving time just to get there, and several more hours driving back. It doesn't leave you much time to explore the city, which is why we stayed near the ship in ADC. Some of our CC people went to an all inclusive resort while we were there. sonicbuffalo Posted January 8, 2013 Author #87 Share Posted January 8, 2013 the other side of the narrow channel where we docked...I imagine it's an even more difficult channel to navigate for the Breeze when she stops here.. a night game in the DR All the workers, from bus drivers to store workers, lined up and danced a song along the pier to show appreciation for us coming to their village. It was fun to watch them perform for us. It was genuine, and they loved us (or our money) backing out of the channel Sorry to leave but happy we still have 2 more ports to visit....
