I'd call them and say you want to pay specifically for cruisecare, or else your payment might just go towards the cruise, and cruisecare won't be in effect.

You can select that option online, and it will be added to your cruise costs. I've never had to call, but the process, as I remember is not all that clear. But if you are unsure, it's probably easier to call and get it added rather than having them try to fix something. :)

I have it added but I want to pay for it before I book my airfare so the "Penalty Waver" is in effect.

A very good point. Few people understand that simply adding CruiseCare to a booking means you are not covered until cruise final payment.
