Advice on Cruise shuttle and timing

Im looking at taking an Eastern Carib. cruise on the Epic on 04/13. If I go it will be my 5th cruise on NCL. My issue is that Im flying in from Rochester NY and the flights are awful into Miami. They are expensive and the return flights are poor. We are considering flying in to Fort Lauderdale and taking a shuttle. My two issues are number one.... the return flight leaves at 12:15 pm and with my experience in the past we have disembarked by 9 or 9:30 but wondering if its cutting it too close. Im also disappointed because we always use the "Bags" program and now leaving from another airport instead of Miami we will have to manage our own bags. I appreciate any feedback anyone has or suggestions.

Thanks,

Greg
