DAY FOUR - ST. THOMAS:

We docked at Crown Bay which is a $4/person ride into town. A good friend of mine works in Corporate for Ritz Carlton and got us a day pass to the Ritz Carlton, St. Thomas so we went there. On the way stopped at a overlook of the bay.

The Ritz was an absolutely beautiful place. We were able to use all the water sport activities so my son and father-in-law went windsurfing, they tried:). It was very winding 25 mph winds so we could not use the sailboats. We did some snorkeling (sorry no pictures).

The pictures of St. Thomas and the Ritz are breathtaking! We will be in St. Thomas in May on Allure and would love to find out if the Ritz offers day passes to cruise passengers. Do you know?

I do not know if the Ritz does day passes. I am having breakfast with my friend this Saturday and will ask.

Have a great time on your cruise.

Thank you very much. I see you are sailing on the Allure in Feb. I know you will enjoy your cruise. Are you doing the East or West Carib?

we are doing Western ~ my mom (with whom I am traveling in Feb) thought it might be a tad bit warmer, although I prefer the ports you are going to. I did Eastern on Oasis summer of '11 and my kids & I had a great time in St. Thomas at a little cove resort called Secret Harbor. AND we had a great day sailing in St Maarten :-) I think I'mm going to have to fly to St. Thomas just to stay at the Ritz!

Western is actually cooler. However, it'll be warm enough to enjoy, so no worries. :)

Great review caneguy!

DAY 4 CONTINUED - ST. THOMAS:

Back on the Allure, went to Solarium to ease into the hot tubs and have a few drinks.

Solarium Hot Tub

While sitting in the hot tub I met a the Executive Chef of the restaurant 1500 in the Eden Roc on Miami Beach, Florida. This is one of the top Chefs and restaurants in Miami Beach or even South Florida. I promised that I would be there within 2 weeks of docking back in Ft. Lauderdale and we are going next weekend!

Dinner was MTD in the MDR. Again and OK dinner. It really is much better in the speciality restaurants and I guess maybe RCC wants to push passenger's into that venue. I did not mind spending the extra $ for our 4 nights of speciality dinning.

Headliner show tonight. The act was a Beatle show with the Beatle Maniacs. They did a really good job, not blow away the crowd good, but highly entertaining and worth seeing, I hope to sneak into another show:).

Crash and burn after the show........see you tomorrow:)

Sorry I do not know if the Ritz has a day pass and the price. I was a guest of the Ritz via a friend who works for Ritz Carlton.
