Super Bowl weekend departure parking

We are leaving on Navigator of the Seas Super Bowl weekend. Last week I booked parking for Fulton Garage but today have started hearing rumblings that the garage has been booked for Super Bowl events and may make alternate arrangements. Hearing this, I contacted the reservations site and received this response...

 

"I do apologize but what the amount you paid will not be honored because

it's the week of the super bowl. If you go on our website now, you'll

see the higher rates. The rates will be higher in all of New Orleans for

that time period. We will issue you a full refund so you can book at the

higher rate, if you wish to do so."

 

Wow, not sure they can do this but I fear they can. My question is, can I prebook a space at the port? I'm sure there will be more of us using port parking due to unavailability of local parking garages and I don't want to get involved with a huge hassle on cruise day. I have looked at the website information but couldn't find this information.

 

Any thoughts?
