Mt. Gay

Is the Mt. Gay tour worth it, or should our group look for something else?

It will be for 4 people at the start of March.

If you are talking about the rum factory.

First you might concider walking to the factory, it is not far from the port.

We went with 18 people and hired a van for(I think $15/ea) but also went up to the green monkey exhibit, but back to the factory. I believe it was $6-10/ea to enter. We were given a tour of the barrel room, the bottling room then went to a theater to see a short film of the history and sugarcane fields. Then into the best room where they provided(1/2oz) shots of their 2/5-7/&12year old rums and were told how to appreciate each of them. They then waved the 100yr old bottle in front of us and said we could try it in the front public bar. All in all we had a great time, though we had a pretty pub crawl type group in tow.
