Soto's Cruises - Stingrays and Rum Point

Hello! We were in Grand Cayman on Friday Jan. 11th and set up a private charter with Soto Cruises for our group of 26. We had a fantastic time and Soto's was EXCELLENT! Kerry, Owner, was waiting at the pier when we got there with Soto's sign in hand. From there, we were taken by bus to Soto's dock. We went to Stingray city first and were able to feed, hold, and kiss the stingrays. They allowed my 10 year old son to steer the boat, which he thoroughly enjoyed. We were with the stingrays about a half an hour. After that, we went to Rum Point. On the way there, they stopped and the tour guide dove down and got a starfish for all of the kids to hold and take pics with. It was very quiet @ Rum Point, as a matter of fact our group of 26 were the only ones set up on the beach in front of the bar/restaurant. Lounges were free but food and drink were very expensive. $26 for a beer and a mixed drink. $10 for a hotdog and fries. Restrooms were very clean. We snorkeled and saw a stingray, crab, and a few fish (not much except around pier). We spent 2 full hours at Rum Point and then headed back to Soto's. Kerry had a bus waiting to take us back to port. The whole tour including RT transportation from port was $35 per person. They also included drinking water, fruit punch, and squid to feed the stingrays. This was the 3rd time we've used Soto's and highly recommend them!

Did you do a snorkel stop as well? This looks like what we have been looking for, but we also wanted to snorkel at Coral Gardens or go to the barrier reef.

No we wanted to get in as much time at Rum Point as possible so we told her we did not want to snorkel. Call or email Kerry. She was extremely quick getting back to me and very helpful.

Where did you find the starfish? We would like to do that!
