tonppa Posted January 15, 2013 #1 Share Posted January 15, 2013 Oasis of the seas will arrive pretty early to Nassau, so not much to do there that time, but go jogging and do the sightseeing at the same time :) What route would you suggest for an early 1-2 hour sporty jogging? We might also like biking/cycling around the island/city, if there are any rental places open in the morning?

Not great jogging paths near the port. THere's an area at Cable Beach near the new Bahamar construction that would be good. It's part of the new highway. Take the #10 jitney to the Sheraton.. when you get off.. head back to town. The jog back to Breezes should do.. then hop onboard again going back to town. I wouldn't suggest anything "early morning", as nassau doesn't wake early, and you might find more vagrants than locals. Don't know of anywhere that rents bikes.. but this is not a good idea in Nassau, as our streets are not maintained well, and our drivers are crazy. Same goes for Scooters.. we have dangerous accidents every couple of days.. some critical.. some even fatal. Nassau is a very busy city.. stick to the sidewalks or take public transportation.
