How early to get to the cruise dock

We are sailing out of Miami and staying in Fort Lauderdale the night prior to a Monday cruise. How early should we get to the cruise docks? I reserved a shuttle from our hotel being picked up between 10 - 10:30. Will that get us there too early? Not sure the route between FLL and MIA is traffic wise on a Monday morning.

I know others have mentioned being able to get on the ship a bit earlier than listed (I think 12:30 is the beginning embarkation time).

Any comments would be appreciated.

Thanks
