So something for a family.:) :) Did you check out the Costa Maya POC board? http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&daysprune=100&f=169 I just scanned over it, looks like quite a few things to do. kjunea Posted June 3, 2005 #4 Share Posted June 3, 2005 also look her if you are interested in the ruins... http://www.chacchobenruins.com I went with Luis from this company and it was excellent! We had plenty of time to walk through Mahahual, have lunch, enjoy everything, then see the ruins. also look at http://www.costamayacruiseexcursions.com They have different things available, cheaper than the ship. Then there are people when you get off the ship that will book you for excursions and you can just go to Mahahual (taxi costs $3 each to get there, $2 each to come back) and enjoy the beach, book banana boat rides/parasails, snorkle, massage, etc. wonderful day. OCruisers Posted June 3, 2005 #6 Share Posted June 3, 2005 the pool area at th port is very nice. It is free and makes for a great day! Agree with destinydog! The beach and pool at the cruise ship dock are free for cruisers to enjoy. With teens it would make a good day! We spent a couple of hours there when we returned from Majahaul. Actually, we had a wonderful time in Majahaul! Here's what we did: Review: Majahaul (the little fishing village) OnOurOwn (Click Here) (Posted in the Ports of Call Section under Costa Maya) Hope this helps! Happy Sailing!
