Activities near Southampton pier

Recommended Posts

HI

Our friends will be driving us from Gatwick to Southampton on September 18 for our cruise on the QE2.

We'll be arriving in Southampton around 11:00 am but be unable to board the ship until 3 pm.

What is there to do around the Southampton cruise pier? Is there anyplace to store our luggage while we walk around?

Hi.

Not much to do around the port. There's a great shopping mall in Southampton at West Quay if you can get your luggage checked in early. Its around 4 to 5 pounds by taxi.

If not, why not treat your friends to lunch in Winchester (some great pubs), and take a look at King Arthur's round table, or visit the Cathedral. Winchester is enroute to Southampton.

Regards,

Terry
