eltotaupin64 Posted January 24, 2013 #1 Share Posted January 24, 2013 We have only been on the Sensation and once on the Inspiration. Our next cruise is on the Pride. I've looked at pictures and videos galore. IMHO, the stye of the Pride seems less gaudy than the Sensation. We enjoyed the Sensation A LOT! My question is how do they compare and are there MAJOR differences? Thanks for the help
MrPete Posted January 24, 2013 #2 Share Posted January 24, 2013 Extreme differences. Promenade on 8 are now on decks 2 and 3. You can walk all the way around the ship on three, outside and partially in. There is only one dining room, on two levels. Instead of one large mid pool area, there are 2. There's a steakhouse! And all the decks go all the way through.....no dead ends. And there's a mini. Lounge under the main lounge. It's our favorite class of ship. eltotaupin64 Posted January 24, 2013 Author #4 Share Posted January 24, 2013 Sounds like it might become our favorite as well. Now if we could just adjust that itinerary! However the Port Canaveral day gives us the chance to stay on during a port day. And have the ship to "ourselves"
trvlqueen Posted January 24, 2013 #5 Share Posted January 24, 2013 You could do that ... Cocoa Beach is a great beach, though - lots of fun people watching, just a few minutes from the ship ... but if you've "been there, done that" it is always nice to enjoy the ship without the crowds. dbogusch Posted January 25, 2013 #7 Share Posted January 25, 2013 I've been on both ships and much preferred the Pride. It seemed cleaner, had more activities, a better itinerary, was a larger ship so I felt less movement, and enjoyed the entertainment more on the Pride. Don't get me wrong, Sensation was nice but the Pride was just so much better that I went on it twice!
