ssb Posted January 24, 2013 #1 Share Posted January 24, 2013 It appears RCL is delaying embarkation of Mariner every Sunday for a while in Galveston Passengers last Sunday 1/20/13 cruise received same message we received this week for 1/27/13 cruise: The following is a message from Royal Caribbean International Emergency Notification System: We are contacting you with important information regarding your upcoming sailing on Mariner of the Seas. The ship will be arriving to the Port of Galveston, on January 27, 2013. The ship must complete mandatory procedures prior to accepting arriving guests. Due to limited space and seating in the terminal, we recommend that you arrive no earlier than 12:00 PM. Check in will take place between 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM as per your documentation. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation and we look forward to welcoming you onboard. Helpful Information If you are early, you can Breakfast at Tremont Hotel or Star Drug or Starbucks or a New Rest. ......behind Starbucks or others on Port Wharfs Walk across the street one block ....and stroll old town Strand St for ....food, shopping, horse carriage rides ....antiques, wonderful confectionary, ....nautical antiques, women’s clothing and lingerie or Next to terminals go to short historical films (1900 Storm,Pirate Jean Lafite, ....and Galveston Immigration) at theatre, restored tall ship schooner, .....Maritime museum, Train museum, .....Drilling rig museum. .....Dolphin Watching and Port Tour @ Maritime Museum All are in area next to and across couple streets from terminal.
