no beach in missouri Posted January 27, 2013 #1 Share Posted January 27, 2013 While on Barbados, we would like to visit Hunte's Gardens, Bathsheba and Harrison's Cave. What would be the best way to do this? Does anyone have an idea of what it would cost to rent a taxi for the day to visit all three places? Is there enough time in one day to visit all three places? Barbados is one of the most beautiful islands, but also expensive. A taxi will want US$150-200 for the day. We did this the 1st time. Last time we rented a car and got to go at our own pace, much preferred. Highly recommend the east coast: - Crane Beach (the best ever) - Followed by up the coast to Bathsheba (breath-taking) - Back to ship through the rain forest
no beach in missouri Posted January 27, 2013 Author #3 Share Posted January 27, 2013 Thanks for the info! Did you have any problems driving in Barbados? Did you feel safe driving throughout the countryside? Are the roads clearly marked? Which car rental agency did you go through? Did you set it up ahead of time or after you got off the boat? erniesband Posted January 27, 2013 #4 Share Posted January 27, 2013 We did something similar a few years ago, We had a list of places we wanted to see found a taxi driver with a van, there were 6 of us, showed him our list and negotiated a fair price around $25 -$30 + tip per person. Last year we wanted to tour the chocolate factory and Mount Gay rum and find Flying Fish for lunch and again found a driver, told him what we wanted and that ended up at $15 + tip per person. Both times we went outside the gates of the dock to the roundabout as the taxi drivers out there are more willing to negotiate.
