CRUISIN LINDA Posted January 30, 2013 #27 Share Posted January 30, 2013 Latin Gems, don't recognise any of the Islands (well apart from Grenada) but I am sure it will be good and will be scouring these pages for tips on trips or how to do our own sightseeing. Just looked at the itinerary - looks good - the ABC islands :D Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao - all Dutch islands and lovely :) Oranjestad is a gorgeous place. I'm sure you will gets lots of tips on here :) When we were in Grenada last year we did the Thomson trip to a spice farm and the rainforest, but you can easily do lots of the trips yourself. Julessmiles Posted January 30, 2013 #28 Share Posted January 30, 2013 Except that the dream now shows a sirens pool deck cam a couple of nights during the week......the lights are always on on the pool deck all night....so leaving the tv on is like leaving the lights on all night, and you cant see the weather/sea state/where the ship is? however....do like to watch the deck parties in full swing from my cabin....whilst relaxing with my thimble of coffee.....in my shreddies:cool::) Oh dear! Don't they have a webcam of the front of the ship on a different channel?? Why aren't you at the deck parties, Geo ? Thought you'd be the first one up dancing;)

Julessmiles Posted January 31, 2013 #32 Share Posted January 31, 2013 Hey Julessmiles stop saying the Dream is bad, you're putting downers on my holiday!! lol Sorry Manxmoggy. I'm like Dreamgirl & I'm sure lot of people on here, all year we work hard to pay for our holidays, look forward to them too and I would be most disappointed if standards have dropped in comparison to last year, when we get onboard. Cruises are not cheap holidays and Thomson mustn't let standards slip. I am grateful to Geomagot and all other people on here that are honest with their reviews and these reviews need to keep coming. Thomson, I hope DO read these Boards and should be ironing out any problems otherwise people will walk and try other lines. I for one looked at the P&O website this morning to see what they offer after reading over the past few weeks various things about Thomson cruises. We have always been extremely satisfied with the Thomson cruises we have been on (apart from the sunbed issues!) and every holiday we go on, we enjoy it to the full wherever we are or whatever we do but Thomson really need to sit up & take notice!!!!! Thanks Jules , nice to think we are in the same boat ! ;) Like the 2 ladies we too have been considering alternatives to Thomsons for future cruises. We love the Thomson product but when you can get a similar cruise on a more modern ship for a cheaper price you have to balance everything out. If we had not already booked our cruise for this May in may 2012 we would be considering alternatives to see what we can get. Berwyn
edwardteach Posted February 1, 2013 #36 Share Posted February 1, 2013 Having read the last few posts I hope I've made the right last minute decision. I was sure that Thomson would have sorted out the Dream by now. When I first went on it I just assumed that things weren't up to scratch as they've never managed a ship of that size & capacity. Two years on I would have thought they'd have got to grips with it by now. Lucky for me that the places I visit are far more important than the ship. Is the food still luke warm and "samey" ? If can maintain my weight on this cruise I will be happy. ET
