elizabeth612 Posted February 1, 2013 #1 Share Posted February 1, 2013 I have never been to any mystery lunch, dinner, etc. I'm thinking of booking this on an upcoming cruise, has anyone been? Is it worth the time/money?
Medtech2 Posted February 1, 2013 #2 Share Posted February 1, 2013 I have never been to any mystery lunch, dinner, etc. I'm thinking of booking this on an upcoming cruise, has anyone been? Is it worth the time/money? I found it totally boring but that is my opinion, based on the performance of the cast on my sailing on that particular date. What I mean to say is, from reading other's reviews I gather a lot depends on the performers. They were not engaging the audience much when we did it. It seemed forced. It was not that expensive, though, so you may want to give it a try to cross it off or on your list...
beachmonkey Posted February 1, 2013 #3 Share Posted February 1, 2013 I was excited to try it too, but it was not worth the time or money. That is just my opinion.

I agree, but I've gone to a couple where the cast we those from Second City and I really wasn't amused. The musician who was very good at improvisational playing was enjoyable though. The best mystery event I attended on a ship was one where the participants were guests (and some entertainers they used as fill-ins for the table). Even with goofs everyone was very clever and it was hard to tell who the "culprit" was. I wish they would bring back that style of mystery dinner.
