BobbieSu Posted June 6, 2005 #1 Share Posted June 6, 2005 I have noticed several threads referring to Belize as an island. It is not. It is not really a big deal but I just have a pet peeve about getting geography right. So just a friendly little FYI to make it clear that when you are being tendered into Belize City you are not landing on an island. There are islands that you can water taxi out to: Ambergris Caye, Caye Caulker, Rendezvous caye, geoffs caye, etc. However Belize City, cave tubing, jungle tours, ruins tours, are all on land surrounded by land, not water. Maybe that will help when trying to figure out what to do, distances are further, and it takes longer to get where you are heading. Su
