salboz Posted June 6, 2005 #1 Share Posted June 6, 2005 Does anyone know of a glass bottom boat tour? None of the ones I've checked, such as Native Way, seem to have such an offering.

salboz Posted June 9, 2005 Author #3 Share Posted June 9, 2005 Thanks for the link. We are sailing with a 1st time cruiser who thought he would like the glass bottom boat. Bet he would like the sub even better. Just booked it. Thanks again.
TheWog Posted June 9, 2005 #4 Share Posted June 9, 2005 You're welcome. We did the sub in St. Thomas and was a great time. Have fun!!!!:D
ShamrockFL Posted June 25, 2005 #5 Share Posted June 25, 2005 There are plenty of these around - operators on the dock. However, make sure you see the boat you are going out in before you part with your money. The sales guy tries to take your money first and then bring you to the boat. Many of the so called "glass bottomed" boats are makeshift private things in which a hole has been cut in the bottom and a sheet of pelxiglass installed :D (maybe 2 feet square), not quite the more sophisticated operation you probably have in mind!:( Buyer beware!
