aviator1945 Posted February 6, 2013 #1 Share Posted February 6, 2013 Was watching the ship movements on MarineTraffic.com when I noticed that the Oasis, on a normal Western Caribbean circuit had just passed north of Grand Cayman island, when at around 3 PM GMT she unexpectedly made a left turn towards a southerly course, rather than continue straight for Cozumel. She proceeded to a point a little over a mile offshore from George Town, where she stopped, possibly anchored. Four other cruiseliners were anchored a little less than half a mile from the shore (Carnival's Paradise and Freedom, MSC Poesia and RCCL's Mariner). Can't imagine that this would be a scheduled port of call for the Oasis; tendering 5000+ pax to join the 8000+ from the other ships would appear to be a tall order. Anyone know what might have been up? Medical emergency?

Perhaps that occured again?
