What is the best beach in St.Kitts..

We are cruising on the IOS in 9 days (Eastern Caribbean). Can anyone recommend a nice beach in St.Kitts? I am looking for a beach that has a bar and food as well as lounge chairs to rent!

Don't know if it's the best, but we enjoyed Cockelshell Beach back in December.

We LOVED South Friars Beach. There were hardly any people there at all. It's secluded, has a bar/grill, chairs, and lots of places to explore. Google it and you'll find more information about it.

Had a great day there , Bar with good prices and reasonable food.

Take a taxi as there is no public transportation.

For me, South Friar's has the edge over Cockleshell. It has everything to make a perfect beach day. Tax fare roundtrip is USD 32 for 1 - 4 persons.

We loved South Friar's Beach! We ended there as part of a tour of the island led by Thenford Grey. He picked us up directly from the ship...

 

We ate lunch and had drinks at the Shipwreck Bar. You can also snorkel right there in front of the restaurant, as well as rent chairs and umbrellas. It's stunning!

Drive to Cockleshell - approx. 30 mins. To South Friar's approx. 15 mins. Most taxis stop at Timothy Hill on the way so allow an extra 10 mins or so.

For those who haven't been there, this is so you can take a picture of the narrow part of the island with the Atlantic on one side and the Caribbean on the other. You can also get a good shot of North Frigate Bay.

Has anyone snorkeled there and can you rent snorkel equipment? We would only need the flippers.

If you are asking about South Friars, I have snorkeled there. Did not have a lot of time, but saw a lot of fish very close to shore. Enter in front of the bar where it is sandy, go out just a little and swim parallel to the shore toward town. I had my own gear but I think they have rental stuff.
