cheesycruisers Posted February 9, 2013 #1 Share Posted February 9, 2013 First off, I'm sorry if this question has been asked before but I couldn't find it anywhere. I'm hoping someone can help me out here... My husband and I are *about* to book a southern caribbean cruise for November and take advantage of the free classic alcohol package. I know that the classic covers beers up to $5 and cocktails/wine/etc up to $8. My question is... If you were to get a $10 glass of wine with the classic package, would you pay $2 or the full $10? The last cruise we went on we opted for the premium alcohol package and we ONLY had to pay the difference if we went over the $12/drink maximum. Thanks in advance for anybody who knows!! One more question... Has anybody spoke with Celebrity about UPGRADING from the free classic alcohol package to the premium?? That might be a stretch but it's worth trying... :)
dizneydawn Posted February 9, 2013 #2 Share Posted February 9, 2013 You can't pay the difference with drinks over the limit on the classic package. We were able to upgrade to the premium package for $11.50 per person per night. Both people with the free classic have to up grade if one wants to. Hope that helps! cruiseguys2009 Posted February 9, 2013 #3 Share Posted February 9, 2013 One more question... Has anybody spoke with Celebrity about UPGRADING from the free classic alcohol package to the premium?? That might be a stretch but it's worth trying... :) We also have the Classic Package and I spoke with Celebrity, and you may upgrade your package once on board from Classic to Premium for $11.50 per day, per person, including gratuity. That seems like a deal! This is our first Celebrity Cruise and looking forward to finally cruising the way it's supposed to be. Martini's here we come! cheesycruisers Posted February 9, 2013 Author #4 Share Posted February 9, 2013 Thanks guys! That definitely helped me out and we'll definitely upgrade since most of the martinis at the martini bar are $10+.
