Gon2hwe Posted February 17, 2013 #26 Share Posted February 17, 2013 If you decide against the drink package ask for the drink of the day, it's discounted, and ask for regular cup if it's cheaper rather than collecting alot of plastic glasses. Rick-n-Lisa Posted February 17, 2013 #27 Share Posted February 17, 2013 We have rented a jeep (St. Maarten) from Arthur's car rental right outside the pier gate area. Arthur is a great guy and we paid about $70 for the day. You can google him and just shoot him an email to reserve. Maho beach was fun, and we like Tropical Wave beach at Le Galion. It's where the locals go and a great little bar and restaurant steps from the water. Have a great cruise! We will be back on Freedom in May. Yippee!!!! JulieRose Posted February 18, 2013 #29 Share Posted February 18, 2013 we might be "weird" but we actually drink less on the ship than we do when we drink at home. It's not uncommon for us to polish off a bottle of rum in a weekend at home but we come nowhere near that in a weekend at sea. Not sure why it is really... Cruiser421 Posted February 18, 2013 #30 Share Posted February 18, 2013 My husband and I were on Freedom last month! Great ship and cruise, you will love it! We are in our 30's and purchased the Premium drink package and it was Well worth it for us. Just note if you get the drink of the day in the souvenir glass, you will be charged for it unless you ask for it in a non souvenir glass. Also, both people in the cabin have to purchase the package. All gratuities were included in the package which was great too. Enjoy your cruise! Royal Caribbean is the best!
