Luggage on flights to philly and then on to NO

We are flying to NO via Philadelphia, my question is, when we get off at Philly do we have to collect our luggage before or after going thro customs and thereby onward to NO or will the airline, same one for both flights, transfer them to the correct airplane.

No probs I was assuming you were talking about your second airport code which for New Orleans is MSY. In answer to your question you will pick up your bags at Philly clear customs and then re check them for New Orleans.

 

Its not a big or drawn out isuue to do.
