Balcony at the back of the ship...

Don't remember the category of the rooms but I think that is dependent on what deck you are on. But we had an aft balcony cabin on the Conquest and it was great - for the most part. Balcony is a "little bit" bigger than the side balconies but not much - unless you have a corner wrap around - which are considerably bigger. A couple of points about aft balcony cabins 1) ours had a tendency to collect ash from the stacks. Nasty little specks of black ash all around. Knowing that, it was no propblen to wipe everything down before siiting. Lady next door didn't realize that in time and had black smears all over her white shorts. 2) People from above can see on to your balcony by simply looking down - ships design allows this. So if you were to plan some "activity" out there - ya'll be careful now ya here :). 3) Not all people pay attention to the rules like don't throw stuff off the ship - like cigarettes or banana peels or plastic cups. The wind may well blow them right on to someones balcony below (it happened). and 4th) Our room was right above the disco on the Conquest - loud booming bass until they closed. If you are out partying - not a problem - if you want to get some shut eye - potential problem. Having said all of that - we would do it again in a minute.!! Have fun!
