bjd2 Posted February 14, 2013 #1 Share Posted February 14, 2013 We are not huge drinkers but my hubby is concerned about on certain days that we might reach the limit with sipping throughout the day and night. For those who have done it and reached the 15, how early did you do that? We like bloody marys in the morning, drinks by the pool or on deck during the day, a drink before dinner and then more at the piano bar, karaoke or casino in the evening. Just looking for other's experience with this.
goober9 Posted February 14, 2013 #2 Share Posted February 14, 2013 I am not a huge drinker and I maxed out on my drinks 2 days at sea. Both nights were around 1 or 2am and I was in the casino. On all the other days I didn't even get close. Just be aware, they will be counting and they will cut you off at 15.
Pom Lover Posted February 14, 2013 #3 Share Posted February 14, 2013 After you reach your 15 limit they will allow you to purchase additional drinks as long as you aren't intoxicated. We did the Cheers program on the Liberty and we never reached our limit but talked with others who did and they were offered the option to purchase. I'm remembering our last cruise and I think it would have been late at night in the casino too on a few nights. I had to do a double take on our tv the next morning at our account! We are going to do it and I think if it's that late when we are told we're at 15 we may just think that it's time to go to bed :) I'm worried about having too many by the pool and being cut off at like 9pm. That would stink.
Carnival_Brides Posted February 14, 2013 #5 Share Posted February 14, 2013 We had friends do Cheers during our wedding cruise. They usually began their liquid feast after breakfast (10ish) and only maxed out once (around 2am) during our 7 days. Every time we saw them they had a drink in their hand--they seemed satisfied with the program.

If we are in the casino when this happens I will defintely get him signed up
HeatherC430 Posted February 14, 2013 #7 Share Posted February 14, 2013 There was only one day my husband & I maxed out the drink package - which happened to be a day at sea. Reviewing my sail n sign statement as we speak. On that day, our first drink was purchased at 1:37pm at Tides Pool (late start! haha) & our last two drinks were purchased at 11:54pm (my card) & 12:21am (his card). We also bought 2 beer tubes that my husband and his friend shared at 11:00pm & 12:19am. This was our heaviest drinking day/night. The only other day we came close to this was another sea day where we had 25 drinks total between the both of us. Quite honestly, I figured we'd max out more than we did - just that once.
