Where can I buy wine near port at NOLA?

Is Rouse's on Baronne St. the closest store to buy wine in New Orleans?

Probably. Will you be staying in the city or going directly to the port. Are you flying and taking taxi.

There is a gas station on Lee Circle that has a small selection. Also a Walgreens at 1801 St. Charles (also has 12-packs of soda), and for a better selection, Zara's at 2042 Prytania (1 block off of St. Charles). Zara's is a small neighborhood grocery that also has an outdoor barbecue.

Thanks for those suggestions. I realized after I posted that I was sort of vague. Then I started reading more Triumph posts and forgot to come back to clarify. Anyway, we are flying in Friday night and staying at the Embassy Suites and sailing Saturday.

Rouse's is the closest, if you are walking.

 

There is a place called Vieux Carre Wine & Spirits at 422 Chartres that has a more upscale selection, and is on the way to Rouse's.

There is a store on Julia street, across from Mulates that has a decent wine selection and cheap corkscrews and other stuff as well.

Don't know about airport but there's a store on corner of Julia and convention has a nice wine selection. It's across street from Mulates. They open either 9 or 10. Very handy to the pier.
