Samana Pier to Playa Rincon

Can anyone tell me how to get from the pier in Samana to the beach at Playa Rincon. What would the approximate cost be? I don't want an excursion, I just want to lay on the beach but I need transportation to and from.

You can go by either taxi or boat (boat will be more expensive). Sorry can't find recent solid info on taxi pricing. It'll depend on the number in your group and your negotiating skills! Drive takes around 50 minutes, last part of the road is in bad condition. Taxi will wait for you, pay him on the return journey.

Samana Port to Playa Rincon by Taxi

 

I have found some 2013 Information and Prices online coming from a company called OPTIMA TAXI SAMANA.

 

They are charging $115 USD for a group of 4 persons to go to Playa Rincón directly at the Port of Samana for Cruise Ship visitors.
