warmwinds Posted June 9, 2005 #1 Share Posted June 9, 2005 Can you see the lifeboats when you look over the side of the Caribe deck balconies (one deck above the lifeboats). Would you pay extra to go to a higher deck and then be 2 or 3 decks above the lifeboats?
Bodger Posted June 12, 2005 #2 Share Posted June 12, 2005 I just went and got my boarding card. We were in Cabin 443 on the Caribe Deck in Feb/March this year. The lifeboats aren't particularly noteceable, if you bend way over you can maybe see the outside edge, of course you may also fall overboard so I don't recommend doing this. The lifeboats are not an issue at all. The cabin is not the largest I have had, but the layout was very efficient and we had no real complaints. It has a small refrigerator which was handy. The balcony is the width of the cabin, about eight feet and about three feet deep. You get two plastic chairs and a plastic table. It was the first time we have had a balcony, and just being able to slide open the door was a treat. We were spoiled and have ended up springing for a verandah on the next cruise. I would worry more about the food than the cabin. Bodger
