crowpro Posted February 24, 2013 #1 Share Posted February 24, 2013 The Regatta is in great shape. The crew is wonderful. Our butler, Janos, was the best. Oceania has done it again. Our cruise director was Leslie Jon and he is one of the best at sea. The food in every venue was super. What can I say, we had the time of our life, and can't wait to do it again. The R Ships are just the right size. The Regatta delivered a treasured memory for us and the crew made it all happen. Thanks Regatta

S O B Posted February 25, 2013 #3 Share Posted February 25, 2013 I was on Regatta in early December and there was one thing that really amazed me: the library. Midway through the trip, I finished the only book I brought with me. I went to the library and found a copy of Robert Caro's 4th volome in his LBJ biography series and it was just the book I needed. It's about a thousand pages, more than I'd read on the rest of the cruise, but I had a copy on my desk at home that I hadn't started yet. On the last day, after I had consumed 300 or so pages, I took it back to return before we disembarked and was simply amazed to find that the empty three-inch slot from which I had taken the tome had been refilled with a duplicate copy of the same book! Does Oceania maintain a duplicate library deep within the bowels of the ship? Is someone monitoring the withdrawels from the library and quickly replacing any titles that are borrowed by guests? Are there any openings for that job? Is there any other cruise line that does this?
