Eastern vs Western Caribbean on Magic

Looking to book our next cruise and need help choosing.

Eastern Caribbean is Key West, Freeport (Bahamas) and Nassau (Bahamas).

Western Caribbean is Mahogany Bay (Isla Roatan), Belize and Cozumel (Mexico).

Only place we have been to before is Cozumel on a previous cruise. I was not feeling well so we were not off the ship long that day.

Little back ground: My husband 28 and myself 27, 3rd cruise, not big into partying or just laying on the beach, like adventure and doing excursions.

Any suggestions or tips on how to make a choice?

like adventure and doing excursions.

I think you'd find more varied options on the Western itinerary: a quick check of each port under Carnival's standard excursions will give a sense of the variety each offers. Then have a quick scope through the Port threads posted here: I think you will see a greater variety of adventure options for those Western ports than the 3 on your possible Eastern one. Conversely, if someone just wanted beaches the east would have an edge.
