Dining for Two on century?

We have reserved Nov. 7th ten night on Century. This will be our first Celebrity sailing but we are experienced cruisers - Princess, Crystal, Radisson and Cunard. One major drawback, in our view, is the two dining seatings and assigned group tables. We definitely want a table for 2. Does anyone know if you can get a table for two in the dining room once on board? This could make or break our cruising experience with Celebrity and, of course, they won't confirm that in advance. Thanks, carole

I'm assuming that you did request it with your booking? As soon as you get onboard, go immediately to the Maitre d' and check to see what you have. If not what you want he can change it right there and then. Be really nice, but if that doesn't work, be a bit persistent. We've always gotten a table for 2 with no problems. The sooner you get there the better, during the afternoon, there will be long lines and he gets a bit testy LOL

Thanks, Marilyn, we have been booked for several months and did make a request for a table for 2. You have made me more comfortable in knowing that it is "do-able". Our visits to the Maitre'D on other cruise lines, and a little upfront tip, have always worked wonders but I'm unfamiliar with Celebrity and Century. Thanks for the tip (the other meaning of the word!)

Having sailed Century, do you know anything about the often reported vibration in the aft? We have an aft sky suite on deck 12 and were wondering if it would be an issue. Thanks, Carole

We sailed the Century in January and were in a Sky Suite on the Sports deck. There was no vibration at all...very smooth. Enjoy your cruise! The Sky Suite is wonderful.
