Warmer Climes Posted March 5, 2013 #2 Share Posted March 5, 2013 We did this excursion through NCL last week and it was very good. Our tour guide was Terri. After a bus ride with commentary about Belize we got to the Eco Park. We had access to lockers (you pay $10 and they give you $5 back when you return the key.) then it's on to ride the horses. They match you and your horse up by riding experience and size. We rode through the jungle for an hour on a trail that is like a dirt road. In our group (afternoon- we left port at 10:50) there were about 25 riders and three or four guides. They keep an eye on the horses and point out animals and interesting plants. One of the ladies in our group was scared of riding so a guide took her horse behind his and led her. After we rode we washed up and had lunch- OMG Belizean food is delicious. Then we got our swimsuits on and used their beautiful pool. I went with my 14 y.o. daughter and it was out favorite day of the cruise.

wilcat1 Posted May 14, 2013 #4 Share Posted May 14, 2013 We did the excursion May 3, 2013, but did the bikes instead of the horses. Nice trail, very nice guides (2). Mosquitoes were not too bad but they recommend repellent. Very nice pool area with water slide and falls. Great lunch, lockers ($5), Staff was very friendly, ~20 min bus ride to the park with guide was also a big plus, chance to see some of Belize city and countryside. Would recommend this excursion (kids will like the pool).
