First RCL Cruise- few questions

I just booked the Legend of the Seas for Jan 28th. I have only cruised Carnival before, so I'm excited for a change.

I was wondering if you can put cash down for the deposit on the sea pass card?

How long out can you purchase shore excursions?

I have been rading this board and most people seem very helpful. I'm sure I'll have more questions.

Although I've not done it I've read that you can put cash down on your sea pass card. My niece used her debit card (after she cleared it with her bank).

To purchase shore excursions on-line, it's either 6 months or 90 days out. But then 10-14 days before sailing they close the on-line sales and you would have to purchase on board.
