1st cruise since new passanger levels booze question

I just booked a Legend cruise for Dec 2013 out of Tampa. It is my first since the new passanger levels. I am still in the red category with only 17 days cruised. Does this mean I will not have access to any free booze? Past guest party? :( We do not drink a large amount, so the party was a nice touch....

Does anyone have any tricks of the trade?

Correct until you reach 25 days sailed you will not receive the invite

As a past passenger on Carnival, you will have a coupon for a free drink waiting in your cabin when you board. It is redeemable only in the MDR during breakfast or lunch. I believe it is for a value up to $9 or $10. Alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages.

Other than trying to get you to purchase drinks that is about it

You could take a short cruise before Dec. and you would reach Gold on Legend. Go to Nachi Cocum or Mr. Sanchos in Cozumel, both great AI beach clubs where you can tie one on.

On my last 4 Carnival cruises there has not been much of a sail away party and all they really are anymore is waiters pushing for you to buy DOD's. No free drinks.

Beach resort is going to be a contender for Cozumel. I think my hub would have minor issues with another cruise just to get a free party. However, I don't think it's a bad idea! Thanks for all the ideas.

Past guest are allowed to bring a guest to the party so make friends with someone from ur CC group and Tagalog as their guest.
