FrozenInTheNorth Posted March 10, 2013 #1 Share Posted March 10, 2013 Here's the interesting "towel animal" my husband and I encountered when we arrived back to our room one night when we were on the Feb 24 sailing out of San Juan on the Valor. Kind of scary after attending Punchliner's and having a few late night beverages!
Trish12345 Posted March 10, 2013 #2 Share Posted March 10, 2013 Oh...I was on that sailing and never saw that!!:D However, the first two nights our animals did not have eyes. We assumed they ran out of eyeball paper.

On one of our cruises on CCL Freedom, wasn't sure if we had too much to drink or our cabin steward was very early..........

rainbowflag Posted March 10, 2013 #6 Share Posted March 10, 2013 I don't know what those are, but they aren't boring. And they do have their eyeball paper. They're chicks in a nest who have just opened their eyes for the first time. When the stewards run out of eye ball paper the chicks have just hatched and haven't opened their eyes yet. ;)

That or some kind of creature with three heads. http://www.historymysteries.net/goose.htm But I do like the nice round eyes. My stuff has always had little bits of torn from old Fun Times. Quilting_Cruiser Posted March 10, 2013 #11 Share Posted March 10, 2013 Yeah, that eyeball paper is important stuff. ROTFL. That may well be the most important part of our cruise. I can live with all the other cutbacks but that would be the last straw!

forwardcabin Posted March 10, 2013 #13 Share Posted March 10, 2013 We encountered the same one in our bed one night on Carnival Magic in December, 2011... Then we found this live one the next day...
mzloolue Posted March 10, 2013 #14 Share Posted March 10, 2013 I always take the crummy chocolates and put them where the eyes go. :) The chocolates are kind of yucky. They should be good for something, like a substitute for missing eyeball paper. Except that they are square and actual eyes are seldom square. But then actual elephants (or three headed ducks) are seldom made of terrycloth. It is a puzzle for sure.

I wonder how much I would have to tip the cabin steward to do that for our teens' cabin on our next cruise? Then grab a cocktail and wait inside the door of our cabin for the ensuing hilarity. Better entertainment than the main show, I bet.
wobblypops Posted March 10, 2013 #20 Share Posted March 10, 2013 On our last cruise the first nigth we came back to our room & we had a towel animal shaped like a vagina. We laughed so hard over that one but when you looked at it from the side it was a walrus, I think

happy cruzin Posted March 10, 2013 #22 Share Posted March 10, 2013 Yeah, that eyeball paper is important stuff. Ya know...I noticed on our Breeze sailing a few weeks ago that the eyeballs now are perfect round felt-like dots, like the ones in the pictures here. I do kinda miss the random torn pieces of paper from the Funtimes...it gave the critters character! ;)
