Gator83 Posted June 11, 2005 #1 Share Posted June 11, 2005 I just recently stayed at the Comfort Inn Downtown and it was a fine place to stay. It was in an ok area (1/2 block from Granville and 2 blocks from Robson). The rooms weren't big but they were good enough. The complimentary breakfast was very good (waffles, toast, bagels, fruit, cereal, coffe, tea, juice, oatmeal), the front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again. I did get a great rate, around $70 USD a night. For the money and location it was very good.
stacon Posted June 11, 2005 #2 Share Posted June 11, 2005 What kind of transportation did you use to get around? Is it convenient to Gastown by public tranportation or walking?
Gator83 Posted June 12, 2005 Author #3 Share Posted June 12, 2005 It is fairly close to Gastown. I actually walked back from Gastown one time. I don't walk fast and it was about 20 minutes. I walked a lot, and took the trolley around. Took the seabus and buses to Capilano Suspensino Bridge and Grouse Mountain. You can also take taxis because everything is fairly close and won't be too expensive.
