Can anyone tell me what the prices of a taxi would be to go from

 

Dock to Marigot

Marigot to Orient Beach

orient bech back to dock

I can tell you what the official posted taxi fees were recently.

 

Dock to Marigot: 1 or 2 people $15

 

Marigot to Orient: Not posted, but similar distance, guess 1 or 2 people $15 - $18

 

Orient to dock: 1 or 2 people $18 (reverse trip of posted fare) Cheaper if you share a van.

 

The official SXM Taxi Association site has been down for a while, but I captured this page earlier.

We shared a van with approx. 8 others and it was $10/person from the end of the dock to Orient Beach. Same price for return trip.

How easy to get a taxi at orient beach?

I have the same question - how easy is it to catch a taxi at Orient Beach? Are they readily available??

There are lots of taxis just waiting for you. Best to catch one at Pedros. Sometimes they like to wait until the van is filled but that's probably only about 10 minutes or so. When full, you get the el cheapo price per person.

Pedros is a bar, often with live music, and they serve food.

I hear traffic can congest from Orient to the peir or vice versa. How much time would be realistic to allow?
