Enchantment Question??

Recommended Posts

Just wanted to ask anyone who has sailed on the Enchantment to ask if the TV's in the interior cabins have External RCA outlets for video and audio?

I'm looking to invest in a DVD player/burner for my digital photos that we can also use to show movies for our daughter, but don't want to spend the $$ on something that we might not be able to use!

Thanks!

My brother wrote RCI about this. Here is their response:

Thank you for your recent E-mail.

Internet access is available in our entire fleet through our "Internet

Café". This Internet communications center provides access to e-mail and

the Internet, direct connections to favorite web sites for stock, sports and

entertainment updates, and allow our guests to send virtual postcards while

at sea, and in ports-of-call worldwide. The service is available in English

and Spanish. Guests are charged a flat rate of $.50/minute (with the

exception of digital postcards which will be available for $6.95/each).

This service will be billed directly to a guest's onboard SeaPass account.

The centers offer a new level of communication options for Royal Caribbean

guests through the latest IBM hardware technology. ATCOM/INFO, a leading

provider of services and software for public high-speed Internet access,

provides the software. Royal Caribbean guests are able to access their

personal e-mail via a dedicated satellite modem connection to popular e-mail

providers such as Yahoo, AOL, Hotmail, USANet, Netcom, GTE Internet, and

others. If guests do not have an existing e-mail account, they can

establish one onboard.

Cameras mounted on the personal computers take a photo of the guest, if

desired, and digitally place the guest in a picturesque setting on the ship

or one of the ship's ports-of-call. The virtual postcard, which can be

personalized with a text message, may be sent to one or multiple recipients.

A free zone will allow guests to access the Royal Caribbean International

and select IBM web sites, along with instructional areas and advertising.

The Internet Cafe will be open to all guest 12 years of age and older.

Despite the fact that they say the televisions do not have connections for 'electrical devices', I've connected my camera through RCA jacks and watched slide shows in the cabin on several occasions. And remember we've yet to be told all of the enhancements their currently putting on Enchantment during her stretch and refurbishment.
