Thomson Majesty Cruise Deals Offer £59PP

Hi All,

Did anyone else spot the cruise deals offer this morning, Saturday 16th March.

£59 Per person colourful Coasts on the Thomson Majesty cruising around the Canaries in an outside cabin on decks 3/4 leaving from Birmingham.

 

I wanted to book this for my daughters as we are already cruising at that time. I left my details for them to call back, obviously they never and later changed the price up to £519. Still a fair price.

 

Does anyone know where we stand on this type of offer and our we secure the Low price?

That does seem to be a good price. Unfortunately the prices do fluctuate - sometimes several times within the day! I think there are sophisticated computer programmes which automatically kick the price up again if sales increase.

 

You can only get the price which they are advertising at the time of booking - so you may well have missed the boat on the really cheap deal here - but then again it could come down again! Sometimes prices are put up a bit over the weekend (when they think people may spend more time looking and browsing) and then go down again on Mon/Tues. So no clear cut advice here.

 

The only thing you can say for sure is that you can't predict what's going to happen with the pricing. If they have a lot of unsold cabins near to departure the prices will fall and you can get good deals. Conversely if sales are good and there are only a few cabins left then prices can continue to rise right up to the departure date.

 

Have you checked other airports though? Sometimes the increase in price is for a particular airport if there aren't many seats left for that flight/date. Prices are different for different airports - again supply and demand. But it might be worth checking if you can use another airport what the prices are there. It would mean your daughters travelling separately but if there is a significant price diferrence it could be worth the hassle.

Cruise deals Customer service did get back to me today Sunday to confirm they had made an error with the price!:confused:
