I've posted here a few time cruising out of san Juan and got no response like you. After boarding I found three quarters of the passengers were cruisers from PR. That said, I saw only or 2 other family members and no GLBT attendees.

You're a week late - or I'm a week early... I'll be on the 1/12/14 cruise - I've also posted here for Carnival roll calls in the past and never gotten much of a response; I'm thinking it's a combination of the time of year I've been cruising and that there aren't as many gays going on Carnival cruises as compared to other lines.

Dang! Missed you by a week! We cruised on Carnival Destiny this past December and we had quite a few show up to the FOD meetings. I had posted a roll call for that cruise and got nothing also. I think there are a lot of people that just don't use these forums. My gaydar will kick in once we get on the ship! :D

I agree with you about Carnival and the gays using other cruise lines. We haven't had a problem with Carnival so we will continue to cruise with them and get more room (bigger balconies) for our buck! ;)

David and Mike here, Mike has is own account but hasn't posted here. We have been together 5 years, married 3 and this one will be our 5th cruise. Been cruising since July 2011. We can't get enough of it

We live close to Olathe, KS (suburb of Kansas City). We're flying into San Juan on Saturday and staying at the Marriott on Condado Beach. It will be busy in San Juan due to the San Sebastian Festival going on that weekend.

We live in a little town about half hour north of Denver called Johnstown. We are flying in Saturday as well... won't be there until about 11 pm local time. We're staying at the Intercontinental Hotel and Resort. I didn't know about the Festival... Good to know!

I'm not sure I could keep up with all of it lol I don't normally do forum so it's going to be a change for me. I'll do my best...

No problem. I've had doubts myself. ;) We did go to the first couple LGBT get togethers they had on our last cruise and met a few people. We went to Grand Turk and hung out with another gay couple at Margaritaville. It was fun! We booked the same Deck 7 Aft premium balcony on this cruise that we had on the Carnival Destiny. We spent a lot of time on our balcony... one of my favorite places on the ship! Besides the casino... LOL

Yeah we tend to spend a lot of time on our Balcony as well. We've gone to a couple of the LGBT get togethers and have met some interesting people, not so much on our last one though...

On our last cruise we went to the Piano bar every night and I'm hoping we have a good Piano man and that we will do it again.

Every cruise we've been on has been forward starboard in a balcony room, varying decks though. This will be the second time we've been in a Spa room.

We have already booked back-to-back cruises for 1/25/15 & 2/1/15 on Carnival Dream. Eastern and Western Caribbean out of New Orleans. We will have an Aft-wrap balcony for 14 days! Our son and his girlfriend (both 22) will be joining us for the first 7 days. I'm excited for that one too! :D

That's sounds like fun. We've thought about doing a back-to-back but just haven't yet, not sure why.....

Will be our first. I wanted to sail down the Mississippi to the Gulf so we chose New Orleans since we've never been there. Plus, flights from KC to New Orleans are cheap! ;)
