marwood Posted March 19, 2013 #1 Share Posted March 19, 2013 Can someone post the Gem Disembarkation info from NYC? I remember seeing it somewhere but could not find it. It had the different time slots for each group such as transfers, private cars pickup, etc.

It had the different time slots for each group such as transfers, private cars pickup, etc. it varies by sailing. They do take their own transfers off at a set time but otherwise you get off by color. First off are the walk offs and priority and then the colors are called. The best bet if you are meeting someone or a private transfer is to have a cell phone and call as you are first getting off...or wait until about 10 when everyone should be off... If you plan to have your bags taken off the ship to pick up in the cruise terminal, you choose the time you want to disembark and the corresponding color tag and you put your bags out the night before. If you want to carry your bags off yourself, you get off the ship when you want and there's no need to pick up baggage tags. If you happen to be in a suite, you'll be given priority baggage tags and the concierge will escort you off the ship. You'll receive all the information in your suite. The disembarkation time for NYC is 10am but I believe most passengers are off by 10am. If I arrange private transportation, would 9am be ok? emcelh Posted March 19, 2013 #5 Share Posted March 19, 2013 The disembarkation time for NYC is 10am but I believe most passengers are off by 10am. If I arrange private transportation, would 9am be ok? We're on the same itinerary in October and I've wondered about the arrival time too. I've seen some posts by people who say the ship arrived much earlier than 10AM so it might be possible. We've arrived in NY a few times and, although the arrival time was scheduled for 8am, we usually docked earlier. We were usually off the ship by 930 or 10 but we didn't do the easy walk off where you carry your own bags.
swilliams1660 Posted March 20, 2013 #6 Share Posted March 20, 2013 We disembarked from the Gem in NYC on 3/4. Our scheduled arrival time was 10 AM, but when I woke up at 5 AM, we were already at the dock. We did the easy walk-off and were off the ship by 8:30 AM.
