Mobility Scooter

My brother who has MS traveled to Bermuda with his 3 wheeled scooter. When he came back he mentioned in general terms that he wasn't impressed with Bermuda and how it dealt with the disabled. One thing that I do remember from the conversation was that a lot of the curbs did not have the cut in the sidewalk to allow scooter and wheelchairs to get up on the sidewalk. Next time I speak to him I will ask more specific questions.

Bermuda is definitely not very accessible for the disabled. But that needs to be put into context. Bermuda is a small island of 50,000. It is not an industrialized nation. The population of Hamilton is 1,800. There are cuts in the curbs on Front Street but that may be it unless they added more the last two years. Many of the businesses though have a step up. The Dockyard should be fairly easy to get around in with a scooter.
