Spanish goodies

We are going on a P&O cruise around the Med in a week or so, anybody know what P&O or indeed customs rules are with bringing food on board from the various ports such as Spanish Chorizo, Paprika, paella rice, saffron etc, we have always brought them back in our cases when flying, but don't want to buy things if we are going to have to bin it before we get back aboard.

All packaged foods from an EU country should be OK. Even most un-packaged foods grown in that country.

That includes whatever alcohol you want to bring back cos if you brought back HMC's maximum allowances you'd overload the aircraft.;)

For whatever reason, saffron is way more expensive in the UK, so a good product to buy in Spain. Or to find in the wild though I think you're in the wrong part of Spain.

Major point is that if asked, you are bringing the stuff for your own consumption & not for sale or commercial use, cos that'llinvolve lots of paperwork & possibly breaches of the regulations.

I don't think you'll have any problem with P&O
