Netnurse31 Posted June 14, 2005 #1 Share Posted June 14, 2005 We are booked in an AB Penthouse on the Dawn in August. I'd love to be able to sit out on our balcony and take some pictures as we cruise past "The Lady" Could someone tell me which side of the ship offers the best view of her when leaving NY? Thanks! granitegirl Posted June 14, 2005 #3 Share Posted June 14, 2005 When you leave New York the Statue will be on the Port side. At the time of day the ship leaves the Statue will be absolutely beautiful. Enjoy!

Lisa63 Posted June 14, 2005 #8 Share Posted June 14, 2005 Yes, Lady Liberty will be starboard as you depart NYC. However, before you get there, the Manhattan skyline will be on the port side. So, start out facing port, and once you pass the tip of Manhattan, make a quick move to starboard. :) If you have the time, stay out on deck until you've passed under the Verazano Narrows Bridge. It's quite a sight.
