Archie4 Posted April 1, 2013 #1 Share Posted April 1, 2013 Hi Folks, Arriving in Honolulu a couple of nights before our cruise on the wifes birthday and was just wondering which was best Germaines or Paradise Cove for her birthday treat?
agabbymama Posted April 1, 2013 #2 Share Posted April 1, 2013 Paradise Cove gets my vote. Lots more Hawaiian Culture, not just the show. The food is about the same at any luau. But the Hukilau (fishing with nets), lei making, weaving, hula lessons, etc. show more of the culture of Hawaii. JMO
puddles99 Posted April 2, 2013 #3 Share Posted April 2, 2013 I haven't yet attended either luau, but after reading the Hawaii Revealed books, we selected Germaine's Luau. I'm not sure when you're going, but I can give you a full review of that event when we return in mid-May if that would be helpful.
MissMet Posted April 2, 2013 #4 Share Posted April 2, 2013 Paradise Cove!! I's on a beautiful beach with gorgeous sunsets!! Not just a show, but a lot of things to participate in before dinner...hawaiian crafts, games, demonstrations, outrigger rides, pictures with parrots... Plus, PC has normal table & chairs, Germaine's just has picnic tables. That's a long time to sit in a backless "chair", IMO, & I'm only 27! lol
Archie4 Posted April 2, 2013 Author #5 Share Posted April 2, 2013 Thanks all!! That would be great Puddles99 as we were initially leaning towards Germains ourselves. We are going to be there in October / November 2013. Hope you have a great time in May!!
